What is the handling fee for encrypted currency transactions?

The transaction fee for the encrypted currency is the service fee that the user pays for the transaction of the exchange. These costs are usually charged as a percentage of the amount traded and are the main source of income for the exchange. Understanding how fees are calculated is critical for high-frequency traders and institutional investors, as they significantly affect the final return on investment.

Cash handling charges vs contract handling charges

Cash transactions (Spot): This refers to the direct purchase or sale of encrypted currency. The spot charge is usually higher, usually at about 0.1 per cent.

Contract transactions: It refers to contractual transactions for future prices. Contract charges are usually much lower than spot charges, as contractual transactions tend to involve leverage and are more expensive.

The difference between the Maker (List) and the Taker (Late)

  • (mounted): You can provide liquidity to the market by placing an order (e.g. a price limit) on the order book that is not immediately executed. Usually, Maker. Lower rate.
  • Taker (on the menu): Your order immediately matches the existing order in the order book (e.g., market price list), which consumes market liquidity. Usually, Tucker. Higher rates.

How can transaction fees be reduced?

  • Raise VIP level: Most exchanges (e.g., currency, OKX) provide step rates based on the transaction volume or currency held by the user (e.g. BNB, OKB).
  • Paying in platform currency: The payment of fees in currency is usually at a discount of 25%.
  • Select Maker Order: The Limited Order (Limit Order) is used to the extent possible to trade as a Maker and to benefit from lower rates.
