What is a data lens table?
Data Persight TableIt is a core tool for processing and analysing large-scale flat data. It can reorder and group a one-dimensional data line (e.g. a long list of sales) according to the dimensions you specify (e.g. monthly, area) and help you quickly to discover patterns and trends in data.
The three core elements of the data-reading table
- Row fields (Rows): Determines the vertical grouping (e.g., different sector names) shown on the left side of the table.
- Column fields (Columns): Decide on horizontal groupings (e.g., different quarterlys) shown at the top of the table.
- Value fields: Statistical results calculated at the intersection of the table centre (e.g., total sales amount).
