Color blindness test: understand your color recognition
What's color blind and weak?
Color Blind Blindness refers to visual impairments that cannot distinguish a given colour, whereas weakness is a weak but not complete colour. About 8 per cent of men and 0.5 per cent of women in the world suffer from some degree of chromosomal impairment. The most common type is red and green, which makes it difficult for patients to distinguish between red and green, followed by blue and yellow. Full colour blindness (can only see black and white ash) is extremely rare.
The working principles of this test.
This test evaluates colour perception by hiding a slightly different colour in a set of squares of the same colour. As the level rises, the number of cells increases, the colour difference decreases and the difficulty of testing increases. Test design based on differences in colour (Hue) and brightness (Lightness) and effective evaluation The colour-resolution capability in HSL colour space.
Rating criteria for scores
- 0-10 minutes: Recommend re-testing in bright environments or consider professional colour screening
- 11-20 minutes: Colorism is below average and may have slight colour impairments
- 21-35 minutes: The ecstasy is in normal range.
- 36-50 minutes: It's better to be colored, better than most people.
- More than 51 minutes: Excellent color recognition, probably a tactile supermats.
Methods for improving performance
- Screen calibration: Ensure that the display colour calibration is correct and that the test is best in sRGB mode
- Environment light: Test in white light to avoid colour light interference
- Focus: Scan the entire grid with the extra light, not check each square one by one
- Relax your eyes: Wearyness affects color recognition, testing in eye rest.
Colorism and career choices
There are strict requirements for colour perception in certain occupations, including pilots, electrical engineers, firefighters, printing practitioners, etc. If you suspect a colour impairment, you are advised to conduct a regular medical examination and to consult with professional advice in the choice of occupation.
