ASCII Art is a visual expression that is organized using standard computer characters (e.g. letters, numbers and symbols). It starts in 20. Century 70 Age computer systems, when graphic displays were limited, people were using typewriter characters to simulate images. Today, this retrogressive form of art has become an important component of the culture of the extremists and the digital arts.
Our algorithms map images to the characters of the corresponding density by analysing the brightness (grey degree value) of each pixel of the picture. For example, the high-light area corresponds to "..." or spaces, and the low-light area corresponds to "@" or "#".
All conversion logic is done in your browser. The image will not be uploaded to the server, which means you can get results in a moment and it's safe to get them in your privacy. 100% guaranteed.
You can freely regulate the width of character drawings. The smaller width is suitable for rapid preview and social media release, while the larger width preserves amazing photo details.
1. High contrast: The best conversion of pictures with obvious contrasts (e.g. portraits, Logo) is possible.
2. Appropriate width: For detailed pictures, it is proposed to set widths above 150; For simple icons, 80-100 is fine.
3. Inverse processing: Select the Inverted Color mode if you want to copy ASCII to a document with a white background (e. g. Word).
4. Font selection: When looking at ASCII art, make sure to use "Tanger" (e. g. Courier, Consolas, Jetbrains) Mono) otherwise the image will be distorted.
Images transposing ASCII art is widely used in code notes, README The document is decorated, the terminal welcome (MOTD), the retro-style design and personalized social media postings. It gives a unique sense of digital technology to the original images.
