Guide to Full Use of Text Comparison

The online text comparison compares the row differences between the two paragraphs. Left is the original Text A, and right is the modified Text B. Click " Start matching difference " to break the sides into line breaks, create new/deleted/unmoved lines using the LCS (the longest common subseries) idea and show the "New/Delete rows" count. The results support "Unified View" and "Screen Screen View" and can also "load examples of codes" or "empty content". Note: This is a line diff, not a word/chart-high-light type IDE.

Recommended steps

1. Paste old versions to the left and new versions to the right (maintaining a line-to-be-readable structure).

Critical limitations (avoidance of misuse)

• Line diff, not character level: Only one word is changed in a row, and the whole line is often shown as deleting + adding.
• The complexity of LCS increases with the number of rows, and it is suggested that the KiloCell of lines may slow down, and that key segments be compared first.
• The gap is also variable: one space/space line is visible.
• The result is default in memory, which needs to be rematched after refreshing.

FAQ

Why is it only half-lined and show the whole line deleted and added?

No word/chart-level highlight is provided because algorithms are aligned to units of behaviour.

How do you choose the unified view and the split screen?

Can you compare Word documents?

Please copy the original text first. This tool processes strings in text boxes, not docx binary.

- Is the data going to pass?

Compared to local execution on browsers, this is suitable for handling unpublished scripts.

What about the big log file, Cardon?

Can a space and a line be different?

Yes. Any line difference will be reflected as new/deleted; Before organizing the format, please expect that the statistics may be more ambitious.

Pre-treatment for more readable diff

Try to keep the line styles unscathed before comparison, avoiding the entire "Spane text " . Codes can be formatted before comparison, reducing pure format noise.
